The National Peace Council has commended President Akufo-Addo for establishing a Ministerial inquiry into the Ejura shooting incident.
This comes as the Minister for Interior, Ambrose Dery, is expected to announce the names of the committee members to work on the public inquiry into the Ejura killings as ordered by President.
The committee has ten days to submit its report.
MyNewsGh.com is reliably informed the Inquiry team will be made up of 3 persons whose name will go out shortly.
Reacting to this, the Peace Council had some praise for President Akufo-Addo.
The Peace Council which was in the middle of a stakeholder dialogue said it notes “with appreciation the President’s directive to the Minister of the Interior to conduct a public inquiry into the circumstances that led to the unfortunate occurrence.”
The Council expressed grave concerns that three Ghanaians lost their lives in this violent incident at Ejura
”The council condemns the unfortunate incident and calls on the relevant agencies to conduct thorough investigations into the matter without delay” an earlier statement said.
