US-based Ghanaian Social media commentator, Twene Jonas says Shatta Wale has a mental problem because of how he behaves.
This was after Wale’s arrest for feigning a gun attack.
Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, born Charles Nii Armah Mensah was arrested after reporting himself for feigning a gun attack.
Reports on Monday, 18th October 2021, claimed that Shatta Wale had been shot by unknown gunmen as prophesied by a pastor popularly known as ‘Jesus Ahuofe’.
The police earlier arrested Kojo Owusu Koranteng, also known as Nana Dope and Eric Venator, alias Gangee, on Tuesday evening for allegedly spreading false information with the intention to cause fear and panic.
The arrest of the suspects is in response to the alleged circulation of false claims on the alleged gunshot attack on Shatta Wale.
Preliminary investigations by the Police revealed the widely reported gunshot attack on Shatta Wale Monday, 18th October, 2021 was a hoax.
Although he was granted bail on Wednesday, he was remanded on Thursday, October 21, 22 when he appeared in court.
In one of his videos after Shatta Wale’s arrest, Twene Jonas said,”Can’t you see Shatta Wale has a mental problem. Recently he packed his boys to stop a contractor from constructing a road and Ghanaians looked on and today he has connived with a fake prophet to say he has been shot and has gone missing and others. If the IGP has arrested him, he has to face the rigours of the law so that he can learn sense because he has followers. People look up to them and so when they misbehave like that, people will also start misbehaving more and Ghana will suffer.”
He continued, “We should allow the law to work. When the law works, the system will start working. The IGP has done well for arresting him.”
For Funny Face, Twene Jonas also urged the IGP to ensure he faces the law, adding that if he needs treatment, he should be given the treatment so that he does not end up killing anyone as he said.
