General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah has revealed that the members of the party were impatient to see its former national deputy secretary, Samuel Koku Anyidoho expelled from the party, MyNewsGh.com reports.
He made this known in an interview with Accra-based Citi FM monitored by MyNewsGh.com when he emphasized that despite his ‘anti-party behavior, Koku Anyidoho declined every invitation by the party to have his day ‘in court’ and exercise his right to a fair trial.
Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah explained further that the party was left with no other choice than to expel Mr. Anyidoho since he didn’t respect the legal processes in the party and share his side of the story.
“Our members were impatient. His constituents couldn’t wait for him to be expelled but as a party that believes in the right to a fair trial, we wrote to him to avail himself to our disciplinary committee but he declined every invitation.
He didn’t show up so we were left with no other option than to expel him from the party.” Asiedu Nketiah stated.
