Coronavirus: Afigya Kwabre North Mp Donate PHI To The Assembly.


As part of the efforts in the fight against the covid 19 pandemic, the Member of parliament for afigya kwabre North district Hon Nana Marfo Amaniampong on Wednesday , 1st April, 2020, donate personal hygiene item to the Afigya Kwabre North District Assembly of the Ashanti region.

The items donated including 20 Veronica buckets, 200 hand Sanitisers and 200 liquid soaps for hand wash.
In an interview with Offinso based Time FM news caster, ASONA NE BRETUOBA NANA OWUSU ABOAGYE ADUOMI, Nana Boakye Yiadom the Nadmo director and Organizer for Npp who did the donation on behalf of Nana Marfo said, the member of parliament Hon Nana Marfo Amaniampong has so many vision for his constituents and as we are this pandemic situation and as an MP, has has do something to help the public to fight the Covid -19.
In his brief address, he called on the assembly to share the items and task the citizens to effectively wash and sanitize their hands with alcohol based hand sanitizers and adhere to all the precautionary measures in the fight against the deadly virus, COVID-19.

The District Chief Executive for Afigya kwabre North , Hon Karikari Achemfour behalf of the assembly, received the donations and expressed his joy and gratitude for the items supplied, particularly the Veronica buckets and the sanitisers which people describes as life saving equipments in this pandemic situation
He therefore, told the media about the measures put in place to combat with the Covid 19 saying, they (the assembly) has given jingles to the various information centers across the district to play and also tasked the assembly members in the district to report anyone who has traveled back home.
Also, the assembly has reserve a room in every health center for any suspected person to quarantine.

The district health director Mrs Ruth Nyamah obeng also thanked MP and make a passionate appeal NGOs and philanthropists to come to their aid and because the frontline health workers in the district lack personal protective equipments PPEs which is dangerous.
