The occurrence of the pandemic Convid-19 disease has affected the activities of Ghana and the world as a whole.
Private schools were not excluded from the directives given by the first gentleman of the land, his excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo, to suspend all the activities of schools in the country.
Not only were schools closed down, the president also gave another directive to lock down the major epicenters of the country- the greater Accra region and the greater Kumasi region.
Private school teachers in this hard times have come out that they need to be paid whilst at home amidst the pandemic coronavirus disease.
In consultations with the executives of the Ghana National Council of private schools (Gnacops) concerning the payment of the salaries of private school teachers, the head of communications, Mr Samuel Nyamekye said that ” _**we are working tirelessly for the well-being of our teachers. They grow as we grow, we plead with them to exercise patience we will overcome the challenge ”
According to him, they have petitioned the president to come to their aid in this hard times.
