We are fed up with your failure to fight Corruption In Ghana – GUM tells NPP and NDC

The Ghana Union Movement (GUM) has accused the two main political parties in the country, New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Democratic Congress (NDC), of their ineptness in fighting corruption but rather engaging in excessive borrowing with little to show. They further indicated that, widespread Corruption and abandoning vital state enterprises, particularly those established or started by Ghana’s first president Dr Kwame Nkrumah have characterised their respective administrations.

At a Press briefing in Kumasi on Monday, 29th June, 2020, the Chairman of the GUM party, Mr Hirisuni Hamza spelt out without fear or favor that, these two political parties, NPP and NDC, are totally corrupt and for that matter, Ghanaians should reject them in the coming 2020 general elections.

“We are fed up with NDC and NPP for their deceptions and their failure to fight corruption in the country during their respective teams of office. Both have failed to find solutions to the growing unemployment and have done little for the growth of the economy,” he added.

“We are pleading with all patriotic Ghanaians, the intelligentsia, GUM members and the supporters to rise up in your Constituencies, villages, towns and cities to reject these two parties in 2020.

According to the regional Chairman, the December 2020 presidential and Parliamentary polls premised on breaking the status quo to save Ghanaians from current socioeconomic hardships, which GUM’s Leader and Founder Rev Christian Kwabena Andrews (Osofo Kyiriabosom), has been called to address.

The Ashanti Regional Chairman, Mr Hirisuni Hamza speaking on the New Voters Register Exercise starting on 30th June 2020, said, ” Make it a point to register with the Electoral Commission and acquire your voters ID card for the elections, December 7″. Lets assist the masses for mass voter ID card registration on the registration day.
