In a few days ago, the Executive Secretary of ADAM – GH, Mr. Azubila on his Facebook page quizzes BoG and Finance Minister to explain why Huge Sums of GH¢200.00 and GH¢100.00 notes were been packed in an individual Residents
On his facebook account, Mr. Azubila questioned the BoG and the finance Minister if they are aware and to explain why vaults of cash is found in an individual residence.
“We also want the Finance Minister to explain to us why this is not money laundering?” he quizzed.
“We are also requesting for explanation why this is not the actions that promotes corruption in the country?”
This will surely generate a lot of discussions and mistrust going into the general election as people may read myriad of reasons into this action.
After this post, the entire executives of Anchoring Democracy Movement Ghana (ADAM-GH) has petition the Executive Director Of Economic And Organised Crime Office (EOCO) to investigate Huge Sums of GH¢200.00 and GH¢100.00 notes denominations fully packed in an unknown private residents allegedly belonging to a Government official.

PETITION TO INVESTIGATE HUGE SUMS OF GHC 200.00 AND GHC100.00 DENOMINATIONS FULLY PARKED IN AN UNKNOWN PRIVATE RESIDENCE ALLEGEDLY BELONGING TO A GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL.
Anchoring Democracy Advocacy Movement Ghana (ADAM GH) is a civil society organization that anchors proper democratic principles, protect Ghana’s democracy, the rule of law, fight corruption and to ensure peace and security of our country.
ADAM GH with the greatest of respect to your good office will like to draw your attention to a public interest matter in Ghana currently.This matter has to do with a gentleman by name Richard Appiah Baah who was seen in a video packing ghc200.00 and ghc100.00 notes of our Ghanaian new currency in bundles in an undisclosed location.
The said gentleman and his accomplices in the video were seen packing this huge sums of money in a private residence believe to belong to an official of this current Government.
And in referencing the whistleblowers act 2006, act 720 we bring to your notice the misappropriation and to also remind you that residence in question is not the vault of the Bank of Ghana ( BoG) nor any Bank in Ghana, this is the home of a Government official, with a fiduciary responsibility to guide and protect public property and finances.
ADAM-GH is hereby petitioning your high office (EOCO) who’s mission is to;
1. Lead a unified national effort in the fight against corruption, economic and organized crime through detection of corruption, investigation, prevention and prosecution of serious organized economic crime in Ghana.
2. You provide safety and security for our community and financial market in order to ensure investor confidence and friendly atmosphere, by rendering organized crime and corruption unattractive and taking away the proceeds of crime from organized criminals among many other mandate given to your high office (EOCO).
To as a master of urgency investigate the Bank of Ghana Governor, Finance Minister and any official, person or group of person’s that may be found culpable in this entire cash saga.
ADAM GH and Ghanaians would also want to know why such huge sums of our Ghanaian currency are found in individual’s residence.
ADAM GH is further requesting your high office to also investigate the claimed death of Mr. Richard Appiah Baah, the gentleman who was seen in the video parking the money, if indeed he is dead we want your high office to investigate the circumstances leading to the death of this young man as that could lead to the arrest of his colleagues he was with to aid full scale investigations.
