Controversial A Plus has petitioned the government to make known to Ghanaians the amount involved in the COVID-19 Mobile Application. Mynewsghana.net reports.
The TPP frontliner in a social media post applauded the government of Ghana for its innovative measures put in place to curb the widespread of the deadly coronavirus one of which is the recent launch of a COVID-19 mobile application that enable health officials to trace suspected COVID-19 persons and individuals who may have come into contact with COVID-19 patients knowingly or unknowingly.
The COVID-19 mobile application initiative since it’s launch Monday afternoon has resulted in several backslashes on the side of the government as most Ghanaians could not see the essence of a mobile application that is inaccessible on neither Google Playstore nor Apple Store.
A Plus, however, is of the view that, the mobile application can go a long way to help mitigate the widespread of the virus and also aid in contact tracing if Ghanaians brace the initiative in good faith and find alternative means to download on their phones:
The government has done very well by developing an app to track coronavirus cases. The fact that Google and Apple are not accepting Covid-19 apps on their platforms does not mean it can’t be used
The APK can be shared on ministry of Health’s website for people to download and install. Anyone who has the app can even share it with another person through WhatsApp. All you need is the link. In fact there are many ways to go about this. Apple will only be the challenge. I don’t know how we can bypass apple store but hey Let’s do it. When Google and Apple stores are ready to accept it we shall put it there too. We can’t wait for them
But please oooo, the app no, how much did it cost us 🤔🤔🤔🤔
