The leader and founder of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Mr Percival Kofi Akpaloo has said that former President John Mahama will go jail if he (Kofi Akpaloo) wins the 2024 elections.
According to him, it is long overdue that Mr Mahama is not behind bars looking at the many corruption scandals that have been levelled against him.
Speaking on the Boiling point show on Oman FM on Thursday, August 26 which was monitored by MyNewsGhana.net, Mr Akpaloo expressed shock as to why no punitive action has been taken against persons mentioned in the infamous Airbus saga.
“If I was President I would have jailed him a long time ago”, Akpaloo said.
Mr Akpaloo revealed that other countries who were mentioned in the Airbus saga have jailed the key actors but in Ghana, Mr Mahama who was fingered as Government Official one still walks a free man.
He also lashed out at Mahama for telling Ghanaians to vote against the NPP because the Akufo-Addo led administration had stolen money hence retaining them will allow them to cover their tracks.
In his view, this analogy by Mr Mahama proves that he embezzled money during his reign as President.
On this note, he urged the AG to find a charge against Mr Mahama following his confession.
