Ghana Tech Lab, an Ecosystem hub has been launched in Accra.The Ghana Startup Ecosystem Ranking 2020 is to measure the beans level of Ghana’s Startup Ecosystem in 13 regions of the country.
The Ghana’s Startup Ecosystem Mapping which forms part of the Pathways to Sustainable Employment (PaSE) Project funded by the MasterCard Foundation under the Young Africa Works Initiative (YAW) which seeks to create 3 Million jobs in the country.
The Ghana’s Tech Lab aims is to accelerate and catalyze Ghana’s position as Africa’s number one(No1) centre for highly-skilled digital work force/human capital,ideas to market accelerator,and be a fertile platform for innovative and promising Startups in Africa.
Speaking at the event of the launch, Emelia Enyonam Kuleke said the team from Ghana Tech Lab engaged some business operators across the country to find out how their businesses are doing and the challenges the face.
To her most businesses are not striving due to the collapse of the financial institutions which forced people in certain communities to form groups to help each other with financial assistance to serve as startups for the their businesses in that sector.
Ghana Tech Lab’s establishment is under the Ministry Communication Ghana’s E-transform project with the funding from the World Bank she added.
Emelia Enyonam Kuleke further stated that the Ghana Tech Lab will help drive Tech innovations and advance digital transformation in Ghana through skills training and providing innovative entrepreneurs support and investment for startups.
