The President of Ghana Nana Akufo-Addo in a virtual interview on CNN has disclosed that he is satisfied with the way his government has dealt with corruption in Ghana.
He noted that a lot has been done as far as eliminating corruption is concerned and it is reflective in Ghana’s growing position and rankings in corruption in the world.
He stress that a lot has been put on grounds in dealing with corruption at the basic levels in the country.
“For instance, the [corruption] institutions that are in the country, when I came into office were very poorly resourced. You can talk all we like about corruption, but if the instruments at your disposal for dealing with it are weak and blunt, you will get no result,” he stated.
Meanwhile actress Yvonne Nelson has fired all celebrities who took money from politicians during the 2020 general election and for that matter can’t critique the ruling government.
