Two Kumasi panelists clash over Sammy Gyamfi’s Ejura press conference, one calls for arrest

The Ashanti Regional Communication Director of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Akwasi Kyei has stated emphatically that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has regretted voting for ‘small boy’ Sammy Gyamfi to lead the party’s communication directorate.

According to Akwasi Kyei, the National Communication Officer of the NDC Sammy Gyamfi talks by heart because he is a ‘small boy’.

Speaking on Nhyira FM Kukurantumi show hosted by Nana Kwadwo Jantuah monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Akwasi Kyei urged the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mr. James Oppong-Boanuh to arrest Sammy Gyamfi over his comment about the Ejura shooting incident.

The national communication Officer of the NDC Sammy Gyamfi who was part of a delegation to Ejura accused the bodyguards of the Ejura MCE of Kaaka’s murder.

Akwasi Kyei explained that “Sammy Gyamfi should be arrested to assist police in their investigations over his comment because he is making a serious allegation”.

“I don’t blame ‘small boy’ Sammy Gyamfi for making that comment because the elders who went there with him and allowed him to address the media. Sammy Gyamfi is a small boy and he has to be guided by the elders in the NDC” Kwasi Kyei said.

Meanwhile, the Ashanti Regional NDC legal team member Lawyer Evans Amankwaa who represents the NDC on the show clashed with Akwasi Kyei for calling the party’s National Communication Officer Sammy Gyamfi a small boy.

“Sammy Gyamfi is very matured and sometimes I don’t understand why people think he is a small boy. How can you call someone who has passed law school to become a lawyer a small boy”, he asked while demanding an unqualified apology from Akwasi Kyei over his comment about Sammy Gyamfi.
