The University of Ghana is expected to hold its maiden virtual graduation on July 30, 2020, management of Ghana’s premier university has announced
This is as a result of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic that has ravaged a number of people across the world and has changed the world order.
The students to be graduated are the final year undergraduate students of the School of Law and students who took supplementary examinations at the University of Ghana Schools of Medicine and Dentistry.
According to the University’s official website, “The virtual ceremony will be premiered at 10.00 a.m. on the appointed date and subsequently made available for viewing on YouTube.
These students need to have their certificates, in order to continue with their professional training, starting from August, 2020.
The decision to hold a virtual ceremony was based on the current safety guidelines for meetings in large numbers. This virtual congregation will be a good opportunity for the University to test run the idea of a virtual congregation, for small groups of graduating students.
Affected students have been informed to register”.
