Hon. Kennedy Agyapong has announced his retirement from politics after 30 years in the game.
The fire brand legislator has been in politics since the early 1990s when Ghana decided to leave military rule for democracy.
He finally made it to parliament in the year 2004 by snatching the Assin Central seat from NDC, their then stronghold.
Ever since he won the seat in 2004, he has retained it with ease as he’s always been the man of the people.
Every attempt at quitting active politics was met with story opposition as chiefs and natives in the constituency beg him not to think of retirement.
Finally, he has announced that he will vie out of politics after 2024 when his current parliamentary tenure ends.
Speaking to the New Patriotic Party delegates of the constituency, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong says not even a 1000 cows offer would make him rescind his decision to retire.
